The Oxide that forms the slat and the water by reacting with both the acids and the bases are called as the Amphoteric Oxides.

There are three Amphoteric Oxide. They are ⇒
1. Zinc Oxide (ZnO).
2. Lead Oxide (PbO).
3. Aluminium Oxide (Al
₂O₃).

Reaction for the ZnO,

With Acids,
ZnO + 2HCl ------------→ ZnCl₂ + H₂O
With bases,
ZnO + 2NaOH -----------→ Na₂ZnO₂ + H₂O

Reaction for the PbO,
With acids,
PbO + 2HCl -----------→ PbCl₂ + H₂O
With bases,
PbO + 2NaOH -----------→ Na₂PbO₂ + H₂O

Reaction for the Al₂O₃,

With acids,
Al₂O₃ + 6HCl ----------→ 2AlCl₃ + 3H₂O
With bases,
Al₂O₃ + 2NaOH ---------→ 2NaAlO₂ + H₂O

Hope it helps.
