The ozone hole is caused by CFCs the CFC is realeased by ACs,Refrigarators. So why there is a ozone hole in antartic region where there is no use of appliances like ACs Refrigarators.

The CFCs break down to form chlorine which causes depletion of ozone. The CFCs reach the stratosphere where they produce chlorine.
But CFCs break down only in extremely low temperatures which is available only over the Antarctic region thus there is a ozone hole over Antarctica.
