The parallel lines l and m are cut by a transversal n. If the angle 1 and 2 are (5x-10) and (3x+60) respectively, then find the measures of angle 1 and angle 2.

5x-10=3x+60
5x-3x=60+10
2x=70
x=70/2
x=35
<1 =5x-10=5*35-10=175-10=165
<2= 3x+60=3*35+60=105+60=165

angle 1=angle 2 [alt. Int. Angles]
5x-10=3x+60
5x-3x=60+10
2x=70
x=70/2
x=35

Angle 1=5x-10
=5*35-10
=165°

Angle 2=3x+60
=3*35+60
=165°
