the parallel side of a trapezium are on the ratio 5:3 and the other side are 10 cm each if the perimeter of a trapezium is 92 cm and the distance between the parallel side is 12 cm find the length of a parallel side and area of a trapezium

Answer:
Area of trapezium = 350 cm²
Distance between the parallel sides= 10 cm
Area of a trapezium = ½ [sum of the lengths of parallel sides]×[distance between the parallel sides]
==> Sum of lengths of parallel sides= [2× area of trapezium]/(separation between the parallel sides) = 2× 350 cm²/10 cm= 70 cm
Lengths are in the ratio of 2:5, let the lengths be 2x, and 5x.
==> 2x + 5x = 70 cm; ==> x = 10
Therefore the lengths of parallel sides are 20cm and 50cm repectively.
hope it helps you...☺️
