120=1/2×10×3x+5x
120/5=8x
24/8=x
3=x
4×3=12cm
5×3=15cm

Answer:

9 cm and 15 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the parallel sides of a trapezium be 3x and 5x respectively.

Area of trapezium = 120 cm²

According to the question ;

Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2} * (sum of || sides ) * h

⇒ Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2}* (3x + 5x) * 10

⇒ 120  = 5 ( 3x + 5x )

⇒ 8x = 120 / 5

⇒ 8x = 24

⇒ x = 24 / 8

⇒ x = 3

Therefore, parallel sides are ;

3x = 3 * 3 = 9 cm

5x = 5 * 3 = 15 cm
