given parallel sides = 14 cm and 18 cm
   distance between them ( height ) = 9 cm

area of trapezium =   \frac{1}{2} * (sum of parallel sides ) * height
                          =  \frac{1}{2} * 32 * 9
                          = 144 cm^2

length of parallel sides = 14 and 18cm
dist btw parallel sides =9cm

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * height * (sum of parallelsides)
                           = 1/2 * 9 * ( 14 + 18 )
                           = 1/2 * 9 * 32
                           = 9 * 16
                           = 144 cm(square)
