The peak of flood hydrograph due to a 3-h duration isolated storm in a
catchment is 570 m3/s. The total depth of rainfall is 7.2cm. The p index
is 0.4 cm/h and the base flow is 26 m/s, estimate the peak of the 4-h
unit hydrograph (UH) of this catchment. If the area of the catchment is
520 km2 determine also the base width of the 4-h unit hydrograph by
assuming it to be triangular in shape.
