Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: Amelia is playing football. (Active)

Football is being played by Amelia. (Passive)

NOTE: A sentence that conveys a habitual action cannot be changed to passive mode.

The people had caught the thief. (Active)

The thief had been caught by the people. (Passive)
