Answer:
The people of Coorg are known for their hospitality and valour in army. The roots are traced back to the greeks where a part of the Alexanders army came and settled in Coorg. Returning back seemed to be an impractical choice so they settled over there and married the locals. Thus they have the culture that is totally different from the rest of India. They are the only people who are allowed to carry firearms without any license. The Coorg regiment is one of the the most decorated regiment and General Carriappa, First chief of the Indian Army, was also a Coorgi. They recount their stories of bravery which signals about their valour in the battlefield.
