Let original L= x m and original b = y metres.
Original area = xy
Increased length =120/100 x
Increased breadth = 120/100 y
New area = 120/100x × 120/100 y=36/25 x y m²

The differ b/w original a and new a. = 36/25 xy - xy =11/25 xy

Increase % =11/25 xy /xy ×100
= 44%

hope this will help u...plz react thanks
