As we know,
Area of circle = πr²
= π *× (0.9r)²
If radius is decreased by 10% then,
New area= π × 0.81 r²
Old area = π × r²
Change = π × 0.19 r²
∴Percentage reduction = π × 0.19r²/π × r² × 100 = 19%.
