Answer:

p = 110 cm

let fist side be x

so the other side will become x + 15 cm

p = side a + side b + side c + side d

in a parallelogram opp sides are equal

so , a = c

b = d

p = 2 a + 2 b

110 = 2(x) + 2( x + 15 )

110 = 2x + 2x + 30

110 - 30 = 4x

80 = 4x

80/4 = x

x = 20 cm

side a = side c = 20 cm

side b = side d = 20 + 15 = 35 cm

Given :-

  • Perimeter of parallelogram = 110 cm
  • Breadth + 15 = Length

To find :-

  • All sides of parallelogram

Solution :-

As we know that

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2(l + b)

Let breadth be x , then length will be x + 15

Now , according to the question

→ 110 = 2(x + x + 15)

→ 110/2 = 2x + 15

→ 55 - 15 = 2x

→ 40 = 2x

→ x = 40/2

x = 20 cm = breadth

x + 15 = 20 + 15 = 35 cm = Length

Hence , length = 35cm & breadth = 20cm.

Verification :-

To verify that perimeter = 110 cm

We need to substitute the value length & breadth .

→ 2(l + b) = 110cm

→ 2(35 + 20)

→ 2(55)

110 cm

Comparing with RHS

• 110 = 110

LHS = RHS

Hence , verified !
