Solution

Given :-

  • The perimeter of a parallelogram is 120 metre, the distance between a pair of opposite sides is 7 metres and its areas is 280 square metre.

To Find :-

  • The length of the two adjacent side of the Parallelogram

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

As we know that :-

Area of parallelogram = Base × Height

Putting the respective value,

=> Base × 7 m = 280

=> Base = 280/7

=> Base = 40 m

Hence,

Base = Length

Now,

As we know that :-

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2 ( l + b )

Putting the respective value,

=> 2 ( 40 + b ) = 120

=> 80 + 2b = 120

=> 2b = 120 - 80

=> 2b = 40

=> b = 40/2

=> b = 20 m

Hence,

The two adjacent sides are 20 and 40 .
