The perimeter of a parallelogram is 180cm. One of its sides is greater than the other by 30cm. Find the length of the sides of the parallelogram.

Answer:

let 1st side =x

then second side =x +30

perimeter of parallelogram = 180

2(x+x+30)=180

2(2x+30)=180

2x+30=180/2

2x+30=90

2x=90-30

2x=60

x=30

therefore ist side =30cm

second side = 30+30=60cm
