Answer:

let the length of the shorter side be x cm length of longer side= 6.5 cm

perimeter= 22 cm

>2[sum of adjacent sides]=22

>2[longer side+shorter side]=22

>2[6.5+x] = 22 = 22/2 =11

>6.5 + x =11 = 11 - 6.5 = 4.5

> x= 4.5

GIVEN:- perimeter of parallelogram =28 cm

length of shorter side=4.5 cm

TO FIND:- Length of longer side.

SOLUTION:-

WE KNOW THAT, PARALLELOGRAM is a quadrilateral which has 2 equal and opposite sides parallel to each other.

So, Let length of longer side be 'l' .

perimeter= sum of all sides

28 = 4.5 +4.5 + l + l

2l = 28 - 9

l = 19/2 = 9.5 CM

THEREFORE, MEASURE OF THE LONGER SIDE OF GIVEN PARALLELOGRAM IS 9.5 CM.
