Let the adjacent sides be 5a and 4a

Perimeter = 2 (5a +4a)

=> 36 = 2 (9a)

=> 36 = 18a

=> a = 36 / 18

=> a = 2

First side = 10 cm

Second side = 8 cm

here's Ur Answer...

ATQ, the ratio between the adjacent sides of the parallelogram is 5 : 4

we know that two parallel sides of a parallelogram are equal.

let the adjacent sides of the parallelogram be 5x and 4x

so all sides of the parallelogram be 5x, 4x, 5x and 4x

given the perimeter of the parallelogram = 36cm.

therefore 5x + 4x + 5x + 4x = 36

==> 18x = 36

==> x = 36/18

==> x = 2

hence, sides of the parallelogram :-

5x = 5 × 2 = 10cm

4x = 4 × 2 = 8cm

final answer :- 10cm, 8cm, 10cm and 8cm

hope this helps..!!
