the perimeter of a parallelogram is 60cm and the ratio of its adjacent sides is 3:2. if the altitude corresponding to larger side of the parallalegram is 5cm. find the area of a parallelogram and the altitude corresponding to the smaller side.​

Given ,

Ratio of side = 3:2

Perimeter = 60 cm

Altitude = 5 cm

So, let one side as 3x and other is 2x

Then perimeter of parallelogram

= 3x+2x+3x+2x

= 10x

According to question perimeter = 60 cm

Then,

10x = 60 cm

x = 6 cm

Then one side is = 6 * 3 = 18 cm

And other is = 2 * 6=12

So base = 18 cm

Area of parallelogram = b * h

= 18 * 5

= 90 cm²

Altitude corresponding to smaller side

90 = 12 * h

h = 7.5 cm
