the same amout of current flows in connecting wire and filament . so why only filament glows

The filament glows and the wire doesn't because of high and low resistance.

Due to high resistance and high melting point tungsten wire starts glowing and are kept white hot. When same electric current passes through connecting wires it produces negligible heat because of its low resistance.
