The perimeter of a parallelogram is 62 cm. If one of the side measures 16 cm, find the length of the adjacent side.

Perimeter of ||gm is like rectangle 2l+2b.  Here one side is given that is 16 so its opposite side also 16.  Now 2*16+2*b=62                                       32+2b=62                                              2b=62-32=30,      2b=30,      b=30/2=15. So the length of adjacent sides are 16 and 15
