PERIMETER OF PARALLELOGRAM = 2(A+B)

==> 40 CM = 2 ( 1X+4X)

==> 40 = 2 (5X)

==>  20 = 5X

==> 4 = X

SIDE A = 1X = 1[4] = 4

SIDE B = 4X = 4[4] = 16
