Step-by-step explanation:

Formula of perimeter

2(l+b) = 480

L = 140, so

2(140 + b) = 480

280 + 2b = 480

2b = 480-280

2b = 200

b = 200/2

b = 100cm

Now,

Formula of area of rectangle

Area = length x breath

A = 140 x 100

A = 14000cm²

Answer:

1.4

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter= 2×( length+ breadth)

= 2×(140+ breadth) = 480

= 140+breadth=240 (480÷2=240)

= breadth=100 (240-140=100)

= area = length× breadth

= 140×100

= 14000cm

1 square metres= 10000square cm

area in square metres= 14000÷10000

= 1.4 square metres Ans
