Answer:

Perimeter = P = 180

P = 2x + 2y

180 = 2(x+y)

180/2 = x + y

90 = x + y

90 - y = x

x= 90 - y

Area = A = 1800

A = x * y

1800 = x * y

x * y = 1800

since x = 90 - y

(90-y) * y = 1800

90y - y^2 = 1800

0 = y^2 - 90y + 1800

0 = (y - 20) (y - 90)

y = 20 or y = 90

x = 90 - y

x = 90 - 20

x = 70

Therefore x=length=70 and y=breadth=20
