Perimeter of rectangle = 104 m
2(L+B) = 104
=> L+B = 52
=> L = 52-B ........(1)
Area of rectangle = 640 m²
L×B = 640
=> (52-B)B = 640. { from(i) }
=> B²-52B+640 = 0
=> B²-32B-20B+640 = 0
=> B(B-32)-20(B-32) = 0
=> (B-20)(B-32) = 0
=> B = 20 or B = 32
Then from (i),
L = 32 or 20
Hence Length = 32m and Breath = 20m
2(L+B) = 104
=> L+B = 52
=> L = 52-B ........(1)
Area of rectangle = 640 m²
L×B = 640

=> (B-20)(B-32) = 0
=> B = 20 or B = 32
Then from (i),
L = 32 or 20
Hence Length = 32m and Breath = 20m
