Hey Mate!!

Let breadth be b.

Perimeter = 2 × (length + breadth)

=> 28 = 2 × (8 + b)

=> 28 = 16 + 2b

=> 28 - 16 = 2b

=> 12 = 2b

=> b = 12 ÷ 2

=> b = 6 cm

Therefore, breadth is 6 centimetres.

Area = length × breadth

= 8 × 6

= 48 cm^2

Therefore, area is 48 square centimetres.

Answer:

Hello mate✌✌✌

Given,

P = 28 cm

l = 8 cm

Now,

Perimeter = 2 (l+b)

28 = 2 (8+b)

28 = 16 + 2b

2b = 28 - 16

2b = 12

b = 12/2

b = 6 cm

Hence, breadth of rectangle = 6 cm

Then,

Area = l × b

Area = 8 × 6

Area = 48 cm^2

Hence, area of rectangle = 48 cm^2

Hope it helps
