given, perimeter of rectangle=30

breadth of rectangle=6

perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)

30=2(length+6)

therefore, length=(30/2)-6=15-6=9

Answer:

Length of rectangle is 9 \ unit .

Step-by-step explanation:

To find : length of rectangle.

Given : the perimeter of a rectangle is 30 unit and its breadth is 6 unit

Solution :

  • According to question we are given that  the perimeter of a rectangle is 30 unit and its breadth is 6 unit . We have to find length of rectangle.
  • To find length we use following formula -

         Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

  • Substituting the values we get,

        \ 30 = 2( l + 6 )\\\\15 =l + 6 \\\\l = 15 - 6 \\\\ l= 9 \ unit

  • Since unit of measurement of perimeter and breadth was not given , we take it as unit .

Note :

Question for above solution should be : the perimeter of a rectangle is 30 unit and its breadth is 6 unit then find its length .
