let the length be x.

And breadth is 6cm.

【GIVEN】

Perimeter= 2(l+b)

Solution:-

= 2(x+6)=30

= 2x+12=30

=2x=(30-12)cm

= 2x= 18cm

= x= 18/2

= x= 9cm.

Now, length is 9cm.

Area:

l×b

= 9cm×6cm

= 54cm^2

Answer:

Required length is 9 cm and area is 54  {cm}^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given perimeter of a rectangle is 30 cm. and breadth is 6 cm.

Here we want to find length of the rectangle and area of the rectangle.

We know,

Perimeter = 2×(length+breadth)

For example if length of a rectangle is 5 cm and breadth is 2 cm then perimeter of the rectangle is

2 \times (5 + 2) \\  = 2 \times 7 \\  = 14 \: cm

Here breadth is 6 cm and let length be x.

According to question,

2 \times (6 + x) = 30 \\ 12 + 2x = 30 \\ 2x = 30 - 12\\ 2x = 18 \\ x =  \frac{18}{2}  \\ x = 9

Therefore length of the rectangle is 9 cm.

We know area of the rectangle = length × breadth

 = 9 \times 6 \\  = 54  \: {cm}^{2}
