Given :

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 30m
  • The Length and breadth of rectangle are in ratio 7:3

To find :

  • The area of the rectangle.

Solution :

As it is given that the ratio between length and Breadth is 7 : 3

• Thus, let's assume the length as 7x

• Breadth as 3x

We know that ,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b )

A/Q

⇛ 30 = 2 (7x + 3x)

⇛ 30 = 2 × 10x

⇛ 30 = 20x

⇛ 30/20 = x

⇛ x = 3/2

⇛ x = 1.5

So,

  • Length of rectangle = 7x = 7×1.5 = 10.5m
  • Breadth of rectangle = 3x = 3×1.5 = 4.5m

_______________

Now, finding the area of rectangle.

We know that,

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Area of rectangle = 10.5 × 4.5

Area of rectangle = 47.25m²

Therefore,

The area of the rectangle is 47.25m².
