SOLUTION :

• Let the length be "I" and breadth

• 2(1 + b) = 34

• →l + b = 34/2

• →l + b = 17 ----(i)

• Area of rectangle = 60cm²

→1 × b = 60

Putting the value of " I " in eq" (i)

→l+b=17

→60/b + b = 17

-> 60+ b²/b = 17

→ 60 + b² = 17b

→ b² - 17b + 60 = 0

➡Solve it by splitting middle term

→ b² - 12b - 5b + 60 = 0
