perimetre=52 area=160m²

area of rectangle =L×B

L×B=160----------(1)

perimetre of rec=2×(L+B)

2×(L+B)=52

L+B=52/2=26

L+B=26---------(2)

from eq2

L=26-B put equation (1)

(26-B)B=160

26B-B²=160

B²-26B-160=0. by middle term split we got

B²-16B-10B-160

B(B-16)+10(B-16)

(B-16)(B+10)

B=16 B=-10 so -10 we not taken becz it is negative

put in eqtion (2)

L+16=26

L=26-16

L=10

so, lenth is 10cm and breath is 16cm
