Perimeter = 80 cm (Given)

Length - 22 cm (Given)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(A) Form the equation:

Perimeter = 2 (Length + Width)

Plug in the values of Perimeter and Length:

80 = 2 ( 22 + w)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(B) Solve w:

80 = 2 ( 22 + w)

Divide by 2 :

40 = 22 + w

Subtract 22 from both sides:

w = 18 cm

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer: (A) Equation: 80 = 2 ( 22 + w)        (B) width = 18 cm
