Answer:

length of rectangle = 27 m

width of rectangle = 13 m

Step-by-step explanation:

let the width of rectangle = x m

then , length of rectangle = 2x + 1

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

80 = 2(2x + 1 + x)

80 = 2(3x + 1)

80 = 6x + 2

80 - 2 = 6x

78 = 6x

78/6 = x

13 = x

width = x = 13 m

length = 2x + 1

= 2 × 13 + 1

= 26 + 1

= 27 m

Answer:

Given Perimeter(P)=80m

Or, 2(l+b)=80

Or,(l+b)=40.........(1)

Also given that

l =2b-1.........(2)

Using (2) in (1) we have

2b-1+b=40

Or3b=41

Therefore b=(41/3)=13.666m

Now l=40-b=40-13.666=26.334m
