Answer :

  • Length of rectangle = 28cm

Given :

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 96cm
  • Breadth of rectangle = 20cm

To find :

  • Length of rectangle

Solution :

  • Let the length of rectangle be l

As we know that,

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

where , l is length, b is breadth 20cm and perimeter of rectangle is 96cm

》Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

》96 = 2(l + 20)

》(l + 20) = 96/2

》l + 20 = 48

》l = 48 - 20

》l = 28cm

Hence , Length of rectangle is 28cm

Verification :

As we know that,

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

where l is length 28cm and b is breadth 20cm

》2(28 + 20)

》2(48)

》96cm

Hence Verified

Given :

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 96cm
  • Breadth of Rectangle = 20cm

To Find :

  • Length of Rectangle

Solution :

✰ As we know that, Perimeter of Rectangle is given by 2 ( Length + Breadth ) . Now in this question Perimeter and breadth are given and we have to find the length of the Rectangle. So Simply we will put the given values in the formula to find the length of the Rectangle.

⟹ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (L + B)

⟹ 96 = 2 (Length + 20)

⟹ 96 = 2 × Length + 40

⟹ 96 - 40 = 2 × Length

⟹ 56 = 2 × Length

⟹ 56 / 2 = Length

28 = Length

Thus Length of Rectangle is 28cm

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
