Answer:

Perimeter= 280 m

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (l+b)

ratio of length and width = 5:2

let the length and width of rectangle be 5x and 2x

it is given that the perimeter is 280 m

so we can find length and width from it

therefore, perimeter= 2 × ( l+b)

280 m = 2 × ( 5x + 2x )

280 / 2 = 7x

140 = 7x

140 / 7 = x

20 = x

therefore, length = 5x

5 × 20 = 100 m

width = 2 × 20 = 40

Area of rectangle = l× b

100 × 40

4000 m sq.

Answer: perimeter (p)-280m

Ratio of length to its width:5:2

Let length be 5x, width be 2x.

Perimeter of rectangle:2(l+b)

280=2(5x+2x)

280=14x

x=280÷14

x=20.

Therefore, length=5x=5×20=100m

Breadth=2x=2×20=40m.

Area=l×b=100×40=4000 meters square .

Hope it helps :D
