area of square = side x side

according to question

x * x= 36 cm sq.

x sq = 36

x = sqrt{36}

x = 6 cm

now perimeter of square = 4 x side

= 4 x 6

= 24 cm

let the length of rectangle (l)= y cm

breadth (b) = 4 cm

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2(y+4)

according to question

perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square

2(y+4) = 24

y+4 = 24/2

y+4 = 12

y = 12-4

y = 8 cm

length of rectangle = 8cm
