The perimeter of a rectangle of sides 35cm and 24cm is equal to the perimeter of a square . Find the side and area of the square

Perimeter Of rectangle = 2(35+24) = 118
perimeter of Square = 4a = 118 
i.e a = 29.5cm

Area of Square = 870.25 cm^2

perimeter of rect.=perimeter of sq.
2(l+b)=4 *side
2(35 +24)/4= side
59/2=side=29.5 cm

area of sq.=side*side
=870.25 cm^2
