1. The perimeter of a rectangular field is 240m if its length is 90m. Find its breadth.

Let the breadth of field = b

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 ( length + breath )

⟹ 240m = 2( 90m + b )

⟹ 240m = 180m + 2b

⟹ 240m - 180m = 2b

⟹ 60m = 2b

⟹ 60m/2 = b

⟹ 30m = b

The breath of the field is 30m

2. If area the perimeter of a circle is 176 cm. Find its radius.

Let it's radius be r

Perimeter of a circle = 2πr

⟹ 176cm = 2πr

⟹ 176cm/2 = πr

⟹ 88cm = πr

⟹ 88cm = 22/7 × r

⟹ 88cm × 7/22 = r

⟹ 4cm × 7 = r

⟹ 28cm = r

Radius of the circle is 28cm.

Answer:

breadth=30 ; radius=28

Step-by-step explanation:

given perimeter of rectangular field= 240

length of the rectangular field= 90

we know that perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

240= 2(l+b)

120=l+b

therefore l=90

breadth = 120-90

breadth= 30

given perimeter of circle = 176 cm

we know that perimeter of circle=2πr

2πr = 176

πr = 88

r= 88/π. (π= 22/7)

r= 88×7/22

r= 28 cm

therefore radius of circle= 28 cm
