The perimeter of a rectangular hall is 148 Centimetre if the length is 4 cm more than the breadth, what is the length and breadth of the hall?

Answer:

let the breadth be x

and let the length 4+x

perimeter=2(l+b)

148=2(4+x+x)

148=2(4+2x)

148=8+4x

148 - 8=4x

140=4x

140÷4=x

35=x

therefore length = 4+35

= 39cm

breadth =35cm
