Let the ratio be x m.
Then,
Length of Park = 3x m
and Breadth of Park = 5x m
Perimeter of Rectangular Park = 450m
Perimeter of Rectangle = 2*(l+b)
Therefore,
2*(3x+5x)=450
8x=450/2
x=225/8
x=28.125
Now,
Length of Park = 3x m = 3*28.125 m = 84.375 m
Breadth of Park = 5x m = 5*28.125 m = 140.625 m
Area of Rectangle = l*b
Area = (84.375*140.625) m²
Therefore,
Area of Park = 11865.23 m²

Given ;-

Perimetre of rectangular park = 450 m

Length of its sides in the ratio are  = 3 : 5

To find ;-

Area of Park = ?

Sol ;-

⇒ Let us find the value of ratio...

⇒Therfore take the ratio as ''x'' metre.....( because perimetre is in metre )

⇒ Total. length of a park = 3 x m and Total breadth of a park =  5 x m

⇒Formula ; perimetre of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

                    450                              = 2 ( 3x  + 5x )

                   450                               = 2 ( 8x )

⇒ 8 x  = 450 / 2

⇒8 x = 225

⇒ x = 225 / 8

x = 28.125 m.

⇒Applying the x value we get the value of length and breadth as ;-

L =  3 × 28.125 = 84. 375 m

B = 5  × 28.125  =140.625 m

so the area of rectangle is length × breadth

⇒ Area of rectangle = L × B

                             = 84. 375 m × 140.625 m

=11865.23 m² is the area of rectangular park.
