The perimeter of a rectangular parking lot is 150 m .The parking lot is 30 m wide Long is it?

Breadth = 30m

Perimeter= 150m

Let the length be 'x'

Therefore, P = 2(L+B)

or, 150 = 2(X+30)

or, 150= 2x + 60

or, 150-60= 2x

or, 90= 2x

or, 2x=90

or, x= 90/2

or, x= 45


So, the length is 45m

let the length be x
perimeter =2 (l+b)
150=2×(x+30)
150/2=x+30
75=x+30
75-30=x
45=x
x=45m
hence the length is 45m
