The CFC is produced in tropical and subtropical regions but its action is more in Antarctica because of its cild climate. In cold climate CFC reacts more so the hole in ozone is over the Antarctica.

ans1 ozone-depleting gases get mixed throughout the atmosphere, including Antarctica, regardless of where they are emitted. ... The CFCs and halons in this well-mixed air rise from the lower atmosphere into the stratosphere mainly in tropical latitudes.
