Heya friend,

_______________________________

Given that

Perimeter of a rectangular sheet = 100cm

Length = 35cm

Solution

Let the breadth of a rectangular sheet be x cm.
Then,

according to question,

Perimeter of a rectangular sheet = 2(l+b)

=> 100 = 2(35+b)

=> 100/2 = 35+b

=> 50 = 35+b

=> -b = 35-50

=> -b = -15

=> b = 15cm

Area of a rectangular sheet = l×b

= (35×15)cm^2

= 525cm^2

Thanks

Given :

  • The perimeter of a rectangular sheet is 100 cm if the length is 35 cm.

To find :

  • Find the breadth,
  • Find the area.

Using formula :

★ Perimeter = 2 (Length + Breadth)

★ Area = Length × Breadth.

Calculations :

→ 2 (35 + B)

→ 100 = (70 + 2B)

→ 2B = (100 - 70)

→ 2B = 30

→ B = 30/2

→ B = 15 cm

→ A = 15 (33)

→ A = 525 cm²

Hence,

  1. B = 15 cm.
  2. A = 525 cm²
