perimeter of rectangle is 2(L+B)..
GIVEN... perimeter = 100
Length = 35
let breadth be x..
100=2(35+x)
100=70+2x
30=2x
x=15 cm ...

Now Area of reactangle is L×B
35×15= 525 cm^2...

Answer :

  • The breadth and the area of the sheet are 15cm and 525cm² respectively

Step-by-step Explanation :

Given:

  • The perimeter of a rectangular sheet is 100cm
  • The lenght of the sheet measures 35 cm

To Find:

  • The breadth of the rectangular sheet
  • The area of the rectangular sheet

Assumptions:

  • Let the breadth of the rectangular sheet be x

Formulas Used:

  • The Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 ( Length + Breadth )
  • The area of a rectangle measures Length × Breadth

According to the question:

→ Perimeter of the sheet = 2 ( L + B )

→ 100cm = 2 ( 35cm + x )

→ 100cm = 2x + 70cm

→ 2x = 30cm

→ x = 30 / 2

→ x = 15cm

Henceforth:

  • The breadth of the sheet measures 15cm

Area of the sheet will be:

→ Area of the sheet = Length × Breadth

→ Area of the sheet = 35cm × 15cm

→ Area of the sheet = 525cm²

Henceforth:

  • The area of the sheet measures 525cm²

Therefore:

  • The breadth and the area of the sheet are 15cm and 525cm² respectively
