Answer:

Length =52 breath =25

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth=x m

Length of pool is 2m more than twice its breath

So length =(2x +2) m    [equation (1) ]

The perimeter of swimming pool is 154m

Perimeter formula = 2(l+b)=154

l+b=154/2

(2x+2)+x=77

3x=77–2

3x=75

x=75/3

x=25

So the breadth of pool is 25m

We take breath of the pool and add it to [equation (1)  ]

(2x +2) m

2(25)+2

=50+2

=52m

therefore the length of the pool is 52m

hope it helps, if any query, comment.

ATQ,

Length                   = 2x Breadth + 2

l                              = 2b + 2

Perimeter              = 2 ( l + b )

                              = 2 { ( 2b + 2 ) + b }

154                         = 2 { ( 2b + 2 ) + b }

{ ( 2b + 2 ) + b }      = 154 / 2

                              = 77

{ ( 2b + 2 ) + b }      = 2b + b +2

                              = 3b + 2

3b                           = 77 - 2

                               =75

b                             = 75/3

                              = 25

l                              = 2b + 2

                              = 2 x 25 + 2

                              = 50 + 2

                              = 52

Length                   = 52

Breadth                  = 25

               VERIFICATION

PERIMETER          = 2 ( l + b )

                             = 2 ( 52 + 25 )

                             = 2 x 77

                             = 154 meters

                             = RHS

Hence verified
