Answer:

Let the breadth be 'x'

Length = 2 + 2x

Now perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)

2(l + b) = 154

2 ( 2 + 2x + x) = 154

2 ( 2 + 3x) = 154

2 + 3x = 77

3x = 75

x = 25 m

Required breadth = 25 m

Length = 2 + 2 x 25 = 52 m

Solution :

Let the breadth of a rectangular pool be r m,so the length of a rectangular pool be (2r + 2) m.

We know that formula of the perimeter of rectangle :

\boxed{\bf{Perimeter=2(length+breadth)}}}

A/q

\longrightarrow\sf{154=2(2r+2+r)}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{154=2(3r+2)}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{154=6r+4}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{6r=154-4}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{6r=150}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{r=\cancel{150/6}}\\\\\longrightarrow\bf{r=25\:m}

Thus;

\star\:\:{\underline{\sf{The\:length\:of\:rectangular\:swimming\:pool\:=(2r+2)=[2(25) + 2]=[50+2]=\bf{52}}}}\\\star{\underline{\sf{The\:breadth\:of\:rectangular\:swimming\:pool\:=r=\bf{25}}}}
