Answer:

Let the breadth of the pool be x m.

Then, the length of the pool = (2x+2)m = 2(l+b)

154 = 2(2x + 2 + x) \\  \frac{154}{2}  =  \frac{2(2x + 2 + x)}{2}  \\ 77 = 3x + 2  \\ 77 - 2 = 3x + 2 - 2 \\ 75 = 3x \\  \frac{75}{3}  =  \frac{3x}{3}

Hence, length of the pool =2x + 2 =2 x 25+ 2= 50+ 2 = 52m and breadth of the pool = 25m

Let breadh of rectangular swimming pool be x

Given:

Length is 2m more than twice its breadth

therefore, length=(2x+2)m

Now,

Perimeter= 2(lenghth+breadth)

=2(2x+2+x)

= 2(3x+2)

=6x+4

Given;

perimeter= 154m

6x+4=154m

6x=154-4

6x=150

x= 150/6

x=25

Breadth= 25

Length = 2x+2

=2×25+2

=52m
