Let length of any side of the pentagon be x cm
Perimeter of the pentagon=100cm

So,5x cm=100cm
  =>x cm=20cm

Therefore,length of its each side=20cm.

Answer:

The side of the regular pentagon is 20 cm long.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that perimeter of a regular pentagon is 100 cm

Now, we need to calculate the length of the side of regular pentagon.

The standard formula used for calculating the perimeter of regular pentagon is,

Perimeter = 5 \times side

Substitute the value of perimeter in above formula,

100 cm = 5 \times side

We need to find the side value of regular pentagon. Hence, keep the side on one side and shift the other terms to the other side.

\text{Side} =\frac{100}{5} \ \mathrm{cm}=20 \ \mathrm{cm}
