Perimeter of a rhombus = P=4a

Let the side of the rhombus be z

So 96 = 4 z

If we take 4 to the L.H.S { Left hand side } it will change into division

96 / 4 =  24

So side of the rhombus is 24

Verification:

P = 4a

96 = 4 x 24

4 x 24 = 96

Hence verified too

Answer:

Hence, value of side of rhombus will be 24 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

In context to question asked,

We have to determine the side of rhombus.

As per question,

We have,

Perimeter of rhombus = 96 cm

As we know that,

  • Rhombus is a quadrilateral whose all sides are equal, but none of the angles are right angle.
  • The opposite sides of rhombus are equal and parallel.

As we have,

Formula for determining the perimeter of rhombus will be given by the formula,

Perimeter = side + side +side +side = 4 \times side

So, for determining the value of side we will put the value of perimeter given in the question in above formula,

Thus we will get it as,

Side = \frac{Perimeter}{4} = \frac{96}{4} = 24 \:cm
