Perimeter of rhombus = 4 * side of square(a) = 4a = 240 m
=> a = 60 m
Distance between two parallel side i.e. height= 20 m
As per formula,
Area of rhombus = side of square * height
                           = 60m * 20m
                            = 1200  m^{2}

Solution :-

Given : Perimeter of the rhombus = 240 m

As we know that rhombus has all its four sides with equal length.

So, length of each side of the rhombus = 240/4

= 60 m

Let the base and altitude (height) of rhombus be 'b' and 'a' respectively.

So,

Area of the rhombus = base of the length*altitude

⇒ Area = b*a

Length of the base = 60 m and Altitude (Height) = 20 m

⇒ 60*20

⇒ 1200 sq m

So, the area of rhombus is 1200 sq m.
