Answer:

b= 26 m

area = 38×26= 988 m2

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

so, 128=2(38+b)

64-38= b

26 = breadth

Area of rectangle = l×b

38×26 = 988

Given :-

  • The perimeter of a school hall was 128 m.
  • The length of the school hall was 38 m longer than the breadth.

To Find :-

  • Area of the school hall = ?

Solution :-

  • Let Breadth be 'b'. Then, the Length would be 'b + 38'.

According to Question :-

⋙ Perimeter of reactangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

⋙ 128 = 2(b + 38 + b)

⋙ 128 = 2(2b + 38)

⋙ 128 = 4b + 76

⋙ 128 - 76 = 4b

⋙ 52 = 4b

⋙ b = 52 ÷ 4

b = 13 m

Hence,

  • Breadth of rectangle = b = 13 m
  • Length of rectangle = b + 38 = 13 + 38 = 51 m

Now, let's find the area of rectangle :

⋗ Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

⋗ Area of rectangle = 51 × 13

⋗ Area of rectangle = 663 m²

Therefore,area of rectangle is 663 .
