177 ft and the length is twice the width. What are the
dimensions of the volleyball court?

perimeter = 177 feet

let width be x

then length = 2x

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

177 f = 2(2x+x)

177= 5x

x= 177÷5

x= 35.4

2x= 2 × 35.4= 70.8

therefore length = 70.8 feet and width = 35.4 feet
